Now I'm working on a manuscript about worship that includes those Fort Worden times. Peter Raible would laugh!

I made contact with Ord Elliott and sent him a copy of this. He was pleased.

Prairie Mary
Mary ScriverMary Strachan Scriverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00538160009129822362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11838465.post-37378969614384879102012-06-22T03:54:02.538-06:002012-06-22T03:54:02.538-06:00In OD, we played the 'Starpower' game. Our group 'lost' in the end, only to be told, that the 'winning' group were giving hints to get the answers right. Of course we were really upset about the 'preferred' treatment of the other group. Then we were told: how does it feel to be 'underpreviledged' and not getting all the resources of the previledged group. That was a powerful teaching instrument! Our Od leader was LB Day (LB was his first name).Herbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01508295537077939830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11838465.post-59059263264013596172012-06-22T03:40:43.591-06:002012-06-22T03:40:43.591-06:00I took 3 years of UUA Leadership School in Ft Word...I took 3 years of UUA Leadership School in Ft Worden in 1977 to 1979 plus Seabeck Conference in 1976.
We lerarnt about 3 diff styles of worship service: traditional, contemporary and experiemental. Our team chose experimental in front of the bunker with a woman flute player dressed in white. Our service culminated in a 'strawberry communion' where a plate w strawberries was passed around. Peter Raibles' comment afterward: you could have enhanced the experience by dipping the strawberries in champagne! That's Peter for you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
