Banner explanation

This photo was taken on South Deer Creek near Roseburg, Oregon, about 1950. I'm second from the right, holding a kitten. The grown woman on the right is my mother and the two boys are my brother.  The grown woman on the left is my youngest aunt and the mother of the other three girls.  It was the kind of moment we need to remember.
